The Fair-Play Rules

One spot in line per person. Request five songs if you want — they wait in your pocket and play on your later turns. Your place never changes.
Nobody cuts. New requests can't push you back. Ever. The math is on your side.
Duets count as your turn. Sing with a friend and that's your spin this time around — no stacking the deck.
Every song plays once a night. First request gets it. That's why the good ones go fast.
Stepping out? Hit pause. Your spot is saved — when you come back, you slide in right after whoever's on deck. Gone over an hour? The host gets a heads-up, but only they can clear your seat.
Clap from your phone. Tap 👏 while someone sings — ten taps a song, and the crowd screen counts them live. Spend them on somebody.

Good to Know

WiFi weirdness? Re-scan the QR — it always sorts itself out
Duet invite popped up? Someone put you on a song. Accept or decline — declining just takes you off it
Wrong name showing? Tell the host — one click fixes it
Name changed on its own? You picked a name reserved by tonight's DJ — the app added digits; pick any other name
Requests closed? Build your setlist now, fire it off when they reopen
Song not in the book? Tap Ask the DJ to buy it — a tip helps
Forgot your password? The link on the sign-in screen emails a reset
Done for the night? Log out is in the header, on the join screen, and on your profile

🎤 House rule #1: the machine keeps the line fair so the host can keep the night fun. Cheer loud, tip your bartender, and if you're nervous — pick the song you sing in the car. That one always works.
