The singer app lives at singer.auto-kj.com. Nothing to install: scan the QR on the karaoke screen or type the show code. It also works as a home-screen app (Share → Add to Home Screen).
How do I get in? Any of these:
CAZZ) into Show code (on the KJ's screen), add your stage name, and tap Connect manually.What if the venue's internet dies mid-show? Re-scan the QR on the screen. If the cloud is unreachable and your phone remembers the venue's local link, the app tries that link on its own and tells you Connected to local server (fallback mode). You must be on the venue Wi-Fi for that to work.
Can I look at the song list before I go? Yes. Enter the show code on the connect screen and tap Never been before? Preview the song list first →. The preview is read-only. You can also tap an UPCOMING gig in Nearby Gigs to check in early; requests you make there go live when the host starts the show (sign-in required for that).
"NAME is already taken tonight" Someone else's phone claimed that stage name first. Pick a different one. The first phone to use a name keeps it all night, even after a refresh.
My name got digits added ("Paul 284") You picked a name reserved by tonight's DJ or a host on this rig. The app renames you automatically and tells you why. Choose any other name.
The app says "The show has ended" The host closed the show. Nothing to fix. Re-scan the QR at the next show.
"Connection rejected" The host removed you from this show. Only the host can reverse that.
You never need an account to sing. An account is free and keeps things across nights and venues.

Guests see a Singing as a guest banner and a 👤 Sign up tab. Creating an account mid-show keeps your seat and name.
Create / sign in: tap Sign in / Create account on the connect screen or the 👤 Sign up tab. Sign in needs email + password. Create needs display name (your stage name), email, password.
Forgot password: tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen, enter your email, and open the link in the email. It opens the app on Set New Password. The link works once and expires in an hour; setting a new password signs out every other device.
Log out: Log out sits in the header next to Leave show, on the connect screen under Continue as guest, and in Social → Profile (🚪 Log Out). Logging out clears your saved show, name, favorites, and history from this phone. Your account is untouched.
Leave show only disconnects from tonight's show. You stay signed in.
Delete your profile: Social → Profile → Delete Profile… → type your current password → Permanently delete profile. This removes your sign-in, avatar, friends, preferences, and personal history. Only anonymous show totals remain. There is no undo.
Offline but signed in: if the cloud can't be reached when you open the app, it stays signed in from a cached copy of your profile (Offline — signed in as NAME). Favorites and History load once you're back online.
Solo: search, tap the song, choose 1 Person, Submit Request.
Duet / group (2–4 mics): choose 2 People to 4 People and type the other names exactly as they use them tonight. Everyone named gets a pop-up to accept or bow out. A group song is one turn for everyone in it.
Ask a friend first: accounts with friends can pick …or ask a friend (they get a yes/no). The song only enters the line once they say yes.
Bands (accounts): Social → Bands → 🎤 Pick Song queues the whole band in one tap, no per-song approval.
"Taken": that song has already been requested or performed tonight. Most hosts run one performance per song per night. Pick another version or another song.
"🚫 Not in venue catalog": on your Favorites, History, or Setlist this means tonight's host doesn't have that song. You can still ask for it: Can't find the song you want? Ask the DJ to buy the song 🎵 sends the title and artist (and an optional tip amount) straight to the host's inbox.
Requests are currently closed: the host paused requests. Tap songs to add them to your Setlist and submit them when the banner says Requests are now OPEN!
Cancel a request: Queue → ✕ Cancel my request (your most recent one).
Change who's singing a group song you requested: Queue → ⚙ Manage singers → Kick or Swap for…. The song re-enters the line with the new lineup under normal rotation rules.
Where did my request go? Every request goes to the host's inbox first. Auto-approve puts clean requests straight in; duplicates, name claims, and reserved names wait for the host. You'll see Request confirmed! You're #N in line when it's in.
Numbers on the screen: #1 is on the mic, #2 is on deck. Numbers stay fixed on your phone and the crowd screen; names climb.
"Is that you?" banner: if the host typed your name in at the desk and you sign in with an account under the same name, the app asks whether to Claim it. The host approves, and the seat, songs, and history become yours.
Tap 👏 Applause while someone sings. You get 10 taps per song; the button counts down and shows Applause spent at zero, then re-arms on the next song. The crowd TV shows the live count and floating reactions. Every group member on stage gets the full count. Applause feeds your Lifetime Applause, your Most Applause on One Song, and badges.
29 badges, earned automatically for accounts. Tap any badge for its rule and progress, and Wear Next to Name in Queue to show one beside your name on everyone's Queue screen.

The host sees your stage name and your requests. Your phone never uploads music. GPS is used on your phone only to offer Check in and to tell the host, in coarse terms, whether you've left the venue; coordinates aren't sent. Profile photos are visible to the room on the queue and crowd screens, and the host can hide any photo for a show. Deleting your profile removes your personal history; anonymous show totals stay.
